The CTD – Mobilité Connectée application is the first large-scale C-ITS application in France, launched in Bordeaux in 2017 as part of the European C-The Difference project. Since then, it has continued to evolve to integrate new features as C-ITS projects evolve.

Supported by Bordeaux Métropole and intended for the general public, the CTD app offers numerous C-ITS services providing information on mobility, aimed at reducing vehicle CO2 emissions and promoting modal shift to P+R infrastructure. The CTD app also improves safety by providing alerts around construction sites and schools.

It also allows for the testing of new innovative use cases in advance, before they are made official and accessible on the national CoopITS application. The complete list of use cases provided is available below :

  • Construction site alerts : in the city center and on the Urban Community of Bordeaux
  • On-board signage : variable message signs, 30km/h zones around schools
  • Unexpected and dangerous events : accidents
  • Traffic information : traffic jam alerts
  • Parking : spaces available in covered car parks and park and ride lots, information on upcoming tram services

Scoop recette app

The SCOOP Android application is an essential tool for testing, simulating, and demonstrating the functionalities of cooperative services in connected vehicles. Used in testing and demonstrations, this application allows users to view, trigger, and receive in real time :

  • Road safety alerts
  • Dynamic signaling information (IVI) (information present in the message in the form of a variable message sign)
  • Environmental events (DENM)
  • Parking information
  • RSU proximity alerts (optional)

The app is designed to work with the NeoGLS OBU’s Wi-Fi network. In addition, it displays an interactive map that includes the vehicle’s position, orientation, and speed.

Depending on the mode selected (user, road agent, forces of order), the user can report events (accident, obstacle, animal, roadworks, etc.), follow the progress of an event live, or consult available parking information. The application supports offline mapping, ensuring optimal responsiveness even in areas with poor coverage and lower data consumption. Thanks to its intuitive interface and comprehensive features, the SCOOP application makes it easy to verify the proper functioning of cooperative use cases and explain them to the public or decision-makers, in a logic of connected, intelligent and secure mobility.
