Parking information

Parking information is a function that provides information on parking space availability. It notifies the user that a park-and-ride facility is located near their location.

It provides the user with the number of available spaces, as well as the number of spaces available in the next park-and-ride facility, so they know whether it’s worth going to the next one or whether it’s already full. In addition, the user can pre-select an available parking space to include it in their navigation route.

The operation

  • Data retrieved from the city’s open data
  • Geographic location of the parking lot, number of available spaces, etc.
  • Deployed along specific routes where the use case is relevant.
  • Sorted by proximity
  • Ability to activate navigation.
  • Creation of IVI (In-Vehicle Information) messages distributed by a server or a RSU (Road Side Unit).
